The Best Breweries, Taprooms, and Distilleries in Enumclaw, WA
Whether you’re winding down after a day on the trails at Rainier or warming up after a morning at Crystal Mountain, there’s a great pour waiting for you within a few minutes of our properties.
Here’s where we send our guests.
Headworks Brewing
Headworks is the kind of place that makes you feel like a local the moment you walk in. The building itself has a story — it was built in 1927 and spent decades as a laundromat before the founders restored it into what is now one of the best taprooms in the foothills. The exposed brick, timber beams, and soaring ceilings make it a genuinely beautiful space, and the tap list does the setting justice.
They brew everything in-house in small batches, and the range covers a lot of ground: IPAs, hazy doubles, stouts, lagers, fruit-forward berliner weisses, and seasonal one-offs. There’s almost always something for everyone on tap, including people who don’t usually reach for craft beer.
The Burger Buds food truck is set up right outside and you can bring their food in to eat with your pint — the burgers are genuinely good, not just “according to the menu” good. The whole setup is kid- and dog-friendly, the parking is easy, and there’s both indoor and outdoor seating. This is where we tell guests to go if they want the full Enumclaw taproom experience.

Griffin Brewing — Pilot House
Griffin is the newer kid on the block — they opened in 2022 right in the heart of downtown — but they’ve already carved out a loyal following. It’s a nano brewery, so the tap list rotates and stays small, but what they’re pouring is consistently well-made. They brew classic-style ales and dabble in lagers, with things like Northwest IPAs, hazy pales, and seasonal rotations on at any given time.
The taproom itself is cozy and unpretentious — about 32 seats, a sidewalk patio when the weather cooperates, and a classic rock soundtrack that fits the vibe perfectly. It’s family- and dog-friendly (kids just can’t sit at the bar), and the staff are the kind of people who actually want to talk to you about beer.
The attached Mexican restaurant is the food situation here, and it works out beautifully. Order the nachos. I’m not exaggerating when I say they are some of the best nachos in the area.

Pursuit Distilling Co.
Pursuit is a family-owned, grain-to-glass distillery that has put Enumclaw on the map in a way that surprises most people who visit for the first time. They were named Washington State Flavored Whiskey Distillery of the Year by the NY International Spirits Competition, and they’ve earned it. Their Cold Brew Whiskey — a blend of their own spirit with an award-winning cold brew coffee — is one of those things that sounds like it shouldn’t work as well as it does.
The tasting room recently expanded to a new location on Railroad St., and it shows — the space is warm and inviting, with cocktails on draft, spirit flights, and a menu of craft cocktails that leans into classic formats done really well. The old fashioned flights alone are worth the visit. They also carry vodka made with red wheat from Walla Walla, and a lineup of flavored whiskeys that go beyond novelty into something genuinely refined.
One more thing: they serve what I think is the best pretzel in Enumclaw. Order it. It’s the right call.

Fill’s Growlers
Fill’s is a little different from the rest of this list — it’s not a brewery, it’s a taproom that pours from 25+ rotating guest taps covering craft beer, hard cider, wine, and soda. Think of it as the widest tap selection in town under one roof. It’s been a local staple since 2015, and for good reason: the selection is curated, the staff know their taps, and the setting is genuinely charming — a renovated 1914 craftsman house on Porter Street.
The pizza place next door (Cascadia Pizza) has an informal arrangement with Fill’s where guests regularly order a pizza and carry it over to enjoy with their pints. It works exactly as well as it sounds. There’s also a private event space called The Growler Room that’s popular for rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and small gatherings — worth knowing if your group has an occasion to celebrate.
And if you’re traveling with kids: Fill’s has great root beer on tap. It’s become the go-to answer when guests ask if there’s anywhere family-friendly to grab a drink in the evening. The answer is yes, and it’s Fill’s.

A Few Tips from Us
All four of these spots are within a short walk of our properties. If you’re planning an evening out, Headworks and Griffin are both early closers during the week, so plan accordingly. Pursuit tends to have more flexibility on weekends and is a natural anchor for a date night or a group that wants cocktails over pints.
We’re always happy to give more specific suggestions based on what you’re looking for — just ask when you check in. Cheers!
